ITS operates a State Wide Area Network (WAN) that provides State and other government agencies with enterprise-wide, intra-state network services. The ITS WAN functions as a private, fault tolerant State network connecting facilities in geographic locations throughout the state, along with gateway services to the public Internet.

WAN services include IP addressing, DNS service, primary domain e-mail service, Internet access, and content filtering.
