| Server Co-location is ideal
for State agencies wanting full control
of their hosting environment. In a co-located
hosting agreement, customers have complete
control and ownership over all hardware
and software. DTS provides server rack
space in a secure, fault tolerant, and
environmentally controlled Tier III data
center with emergency generator backup
power. Connectivity to the State WAN and
the Internet is provided through the WAN
product.
Server Co-location agreements can be configured
to meet the unique needs of any agency or application.
Server rack space is available in increments
as small as one unit spaces or "U’s".
For larger installations, customers may choose
to rent an entire rack, or several racks, depending
on their individual needs. Customers are expected
to provide full monitoring, administration,
and technical support for their co-located
servers.
If requested, DTS offers assistance with server
procurement and can perform the initial server
build as part of the co-location set-up fee.
For an additional monthly fee, customers may
choose to contract withDTS to perform managed
services, like monitoring, system administration,
and technical support of their co-located servers.
